Brittney Emmons Competes at NCAA Gymnastics Regional

Brittney Emmons, a fifth-year senior on the Ball State women's gymnastics team, completed her career at the NCAA Regional in the all-around and placed 14th.

This marked the fourth NCAA Regional appearance for Emmons in her career, and comes after sitting out the 2011-12 season due suffering a season-ending injury in the preseason.

Emmons tallied a 38.200 score to place 14th as the Cardinals lone representative at the NCAA Regional.

Emmons had her best placing on the floor where she finished in a tie for ninth with a 9.850 mark.  She tied for 17th on the vault with a 9.800 mark.

She was 36th on the balance beam with a 9.350, and 39th on the bars with a 9.200.

Emmons, who was named the Mid-American Conference Senior Gymnast of the Year for her 2013 season, was also named to the All-MAC First Team.  

She tallied a first-place finish on the vault with a 9.850 mark at Northern Illinois, and tallied eight top five finishes on the season.

Emmons managed a first place on the bars in a home meet vs. Penn and Centenary, while recording three top five finishes on the bars. 

On the floor, Emmons tied for first vs. Western Michigan and posted five top five placings on the event during the season.

Emmons managed five first-place finishes as an all-around performer during the season.
