About Ball State: The Cardinals opened Mid-American Conference action Saturday with a 5-2 victory at Toledo. Ball State has now won five straight matches with victories over Air Force, Xavier, Butler, Illinois State and Toledo. The Cardinals have also won nine of their last 11 matches. In dual action, Patrick Elliott and Austin Smith lead the team with 13 wins.
About No. 27 Notre Dame: The Irish are coming off a 6-1 win over William & Mary Saturday, March 23. Greg Andrews leads the lineup with a No. 109 ITA ranking. Andrews is a three-time recipient of Big East Player of the Week honors. Notre Dame is also getting steady play from freshman Quentin Monaghan (10-4) and senior Blas Moros (9-5) in singles action. Notre Dame leads the all-time series over the Cardinals, 37-5, under the direction of ITA Hall of Fame head coach Bobby Bayliss.
