HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. -- Play was suspended by darkness Monday during the second round on day one for the Ball State women’s golf team at the UALR Women’s Golf Classic.
The Cardinals were tied for 12th place after the conclusion of the first round. The teams will finish the second round Tuesday morning and then play the third and final round.
Ball State carded a team total of 333 in the opening round but was just 10 strokes out of fourth place to start round two. Missouri State held the first-round lead at 312 on a cold day at the par-72 Diamante Country Club.
Meghan Perry led the Cardinals with an 80 in the opening round to tie for 16th place individually. Zoe Camus and Jenna Hague each posted rounds of 84, while Autumn Duke turned in an 85 and Sarah Westaway finished with an 88.
Emma Clegg of Missouri State, Georgina Mundy of North Texas and Nicole Budnik of Sam Houston State tied for the opening round lead at 2-over par 74.
