MUNCIE, Ind. - Junior Bridgette Ruehl, the second female swimmer in Ball State history to participate in the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, swam in the 100 breast preliminaries Friday morning.
The 2013 MAC champion in the 100 breast participated in the morning preliminaries at IU Natatorium Friday and finished in 45th place with a time of 1:01.77. Texas A&M's Breeja Larson, the NCAA record holder in the event, turned in the best time in the preliminaries at 58.03.
The junior was the only swimmer from the Mid-American Conference to participate in the 100 breast.
