Men's S&D Finish Sixth at MAC Championships

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Junior Joseph Morris led the way on the final day of competition for the 2013 Men’s Swimming and Diving MAC Championships earning a silver medal and a spot on the Second Team All-MAC. Ball State finished sixth with 186 points.

Morris earned the lone medal for the Cardinals with a 1:58.76 time in the 200 breast finals. His time was a school record, pool record as well as a NCAA B cut time. The junior finished third in the preliminaries with a time of 1:59.76. Morris was the first man in Ball State history to go under two minutes in the 200 breast.

Drew Tharp advanced to the event finals in the 200 fly after turning in a 1:52.82 in the preliminaries. He would finish 10th in the finals with a time of 1:52.64.

Michael Weber finished 15th in the 200 back event finals after clocking a 1:52.79.

Diver Jake Brehmer earned 15th place in the 3-meter diving finals with a mark of 269.10.
