MAC Releases Tennis Preseason All-MAC Polls

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Ball State men's tennis team has been picked to finish second in the preseason Mid-American Conference polls behind Western Michigan while the women were picked seventh.

Ball State returns sophomore Ray Leonard who received First Team All-Mid-American Conference honors as a true freshman in 2012. Returning on the Ball State women's tennis team is Courtney Wild who also received First Team All-MAC accolades as a true freshman.

The Cardinals are led by head men's tennis coach Bill Richards who is in his 41st season.  The Ball State women's coach is Christine Bader who is in her third year at the helm of the Cardinals.

Ball State men's tennis will begin Mid-American Conference action at Toledo, March 30.  First serve is at 1 p.m.  The Ball State women's team begins league action Saturday, March 23 at Miami beginning at 1 p.m.

The Cardinals will host the 2013 Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Tournament in Muncie, Ind. (April 26-29).
