MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's basketball team will advance straight to the semifinals as the No. 2 seed in next week's 2013 Mid-American Conference Tournament in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Cardinals will play their first tournament game March 15 after finishing the regular season with a 12-4 MAC record (15-14 overall).
Ball State has not received a bye in the MAC Tournament in at Quicken Loans Arena since 2009, when the Cardinals won the event as the No. 2 seed.
This season will mark the Cardinals' 21st appearance in the history of the MAC Tournament. The Cardinals are 16-20 all-time in MAC Tournament play and have advanced to the finals on four occasions.
