Getting Defensive: Chris Bond

With 42 steals, Chris Bond is the Mid-American conference's leading defensive player.  A junior from Gary, Bond's already blown by his 2011-12 total of 29 swipes.  But it's about more than just taking the ball from his opponents for "CB," it's about taking away their leading scorers too.

This season Bond has regularly drawn the most difficult defensive assignment on the basketball court.  He held Butler's Rotnei Clarke to 2-13 from deep.  He held Kent State's dynamic Chris Evans to just 14 points, two below his season average.  You name them, Bond's stopped them.

Take a look at how the BSU junior's gotten it done on the defensive side of the floor, while positioning himself for All-MAC consideration.
