Many elite athletes battle what's called Sport-Induced-Asthma. Jerome Bettis and Dennis Rodman along with Olympic notables Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Amy Van Dyken come to mind. So does Ball State's Katie Murphy.
The women's basketball junior was first diagnosed with Sport-Induced-Asthma as a freshman with the Cardinals. But it certainly hasn't held her back. Murphy is the Cards leading rebounder and averages nine points per game.
