The Series:  The Cardinals play on the road for the first time this season after back-to-back home games.  This is the 15th meeting all-time between Ball State and Marshall.  The Cardinals lead the all-time series 10-4.  Marshall has won its last two meetings over Ball State, 71-50 in 2004-05 and then again last season by a score of 60-58.  The Thundering Herd used to be a member of the Mid-American Conference but joined Conference USA after the 2004-05 season.  This will be the first time Sallee has coached against Marshall over the course of his head coaching career.
