Menís Tennis Continues Action at ITA Regional

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Ball State men's tennis team continued its fall play Saturday at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals which is hosted by the University of Memphis.

The Cardinals were eliminated from doubles action Friday, but competed in the singles brackets.  Sophomore Ray Leonard who had a bye in the round of 128 earned a three set thriller over Alex Gornet, 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 Saturday to advance to the round of 32.  Leonard would lose in straight sets to Juan Pablo Murra in his afternoon match. 

In consolation action, junior Austin Smith took down Colin Bernier 6-1, 6-1 and will face Billy Weldon Sunday.

The Ball State men's tennis team will continue action at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Sunday starting at 9 a.m.
