LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team ended its first day of competition at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals which was hosted by Purdue University Thursday afternoon.

"Also, it was great to see Paola Rodriguez and Lauren Pickrel fight hard to come back and win their first doubles match against Southeast Missouri.

In the women's qualifying single round of 32, freshman Courtney Earnest advanced to the main draw after defeating Saioa Oscoz of EKU in a three set thriller, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2.  Earnest won another tough three set match against Edmee Morin-Kougoucheff of Kentucky, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.
