2011-12 Recruiting Class Earns National Ranking:  Under the guidance of second-year head coach Christine Bader, the Ball State women's tennis program's recruiting class was ranked No. 18 in NCAA Division I by tennisrecruiting.net for the 2011-12 class. The Cardinals signed Ashlyn Rang and Courtney Wild for the 2011-12 season.  Ball State (18) joins Miami (7) as the only schools from the Mid-American Conference that was nationally ranked.  BSU was ranked above Montana, Wofford, Charlotte, Johns Hopkins, Houston, Gonzaga and UMass.  BSU was also the lone school from the state of Indiana to earn a top-25 ranking.

Quote from Head Coach Christine Bader:  Our home match this Saturday against NIU will be a challenging test for us. They are after us. I need my team to step up and rise to the occasion. After the match we will host Campus Kids Day. This event exposes junior players, parents, and coaches to college tennis. Following the match you will have the opportunity to play tennis and games with our current student-athletes. We will have prizes and food. It is a fun event that my team really enjoys.
