Pete Milas enters his second season as an assistant coach at Ball State for head coach Alex Marconi and his third season overall with the program as he spent the 2010 season as a volunteer assistant coach under former head coach Greg Beals.

Milas, a Muncie Native, helped the youthful Cardinals post an 11-15 record in Mid-American Conference play last season. Junior center fielder Cody Elliott earned Second Team All-MAC honors last season and was selected in the 21st round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft.

He assisted with all defensive aspects of the team, particularly infield and outfield play. He also helped in the bunting and base running aspects of the offense, including junior T.J. Baumet stealing a team-high 26 bases.

Milas has held numerous coaching positions throughout East Central Indiana over the past 10 years. Since 2007 he has been the assistant coach for the American Legion Muncie Post 19 and helped the team win the 2008 state championship.

Milas graduated from Ball State in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
