MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men’s swimming and diving team wraps up its regular season at home this Saturday, Feb. 8 when it hosts the Miami RedHawks for a 2 p.m. dual meet. The meet will also serve as senior day.
Miami is currently on a two-meet losing skid having dropped contests to Buffalo and Eastern Michigan. The RedHawks have a 4-3 overall dual meet record and a 1-2 mark in MAC action.
The two teams last met in a dual meet that saw Miami come out on top with a 149-118 win at the Nixon Aquatic Center. Drew Tharp and Joseph Morris led the way at that event picking up two individual wins. Michael Weber and Nicholas Stevens were the other Cardinals to earn victories on the day.
Two-time MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week Drew Tharp ranks 16th in the MAC in the 100 fly after posting a time of 51.18 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational. Freshman Tanner Barton has clocked the 21st fastest time in the conference at the Eastern Michigan Invitational with a 51.60. Tharp is 15th in the MAC after his 1:53.84 200 fly time from the Butler Invitational. Barton is 19th after he turned in a 1:55.14 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational.
