MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women’s swimming and diving team will host its final home meet of the season Saturday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. against Buffalo. The meet is senior day and a bonus event for the student rewards program; students in attendance who swipe their IDs will earn 300 bonus points.
Ball State is coming off a 185-112 loss to Eastern Michigan. Senior Haley Richter earned two individual wins for the Cardinals and was a member of two winning relays. Junior Carlena Magley earned the only other individual win on the day for Ball State with a 24.36 in the 50 free.
The two squads last faced off in a dual meet during the 2010-11 season when the Bulls came out on top with a 174.5-118.5 point total. Richter earned a win in the meet in the 200 IM. Buffalo is 4-4 on the season this year and 0-2 in dual meets in the Mid-American Conference this season. The Bulls are coming off a 168-132 loss at the hands of Miami.
Senior day will recognize eight seniors that include three current school record holders who own program bests in nine events. Come out and say thank you to these eight young women on their dedication to Ball State women’s swimming and diving. Admission is free.
