Men's Swim and Dive Heads to Eastern Michigan Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men’s swimming and diving team will head to Ypsilanti, Mich., to compete in the Eastern Michigan Invitational. The meet will wrap up the fall season for the Cardinals who are coming off of the 10th annual Doug Coers Invitational.

Sophomore Cole Smith earned a win in the Doug Coers Invitational touching at 21.60 in the 50 free. Senior Drew Tharp took the 100 fly with a 51.79 followed by freshman Tanner Barton with a 52.65. Tharp swept the fly after clocking a 1:55.31 in the 200 fly. Senior Michael Oaks captured two individual wins for Ball State with a 48.30 in the 100 free and a 1:44.38 in the 200 free.

Senior diver Jake Brehmer swept the diving competitions with season-best marks. In the 1-meter Brehmer earned a mark of 284.70 while in the 3-meter he posted a 309.15.

Last season the Cardinals finished in fourth place at the Eastern Michigan Invitational. Live results are available for the event.
