Athletics Signs Long Term Agreement with PMI College
Ball State's athletics department has signed an agreement with Playbook Management International College to assist with its outbound ticket sales efforts.
"We are pleased to announce Ball State's agreement with PMI College to assist us with our ticket sales," Ball State athletics director Bill Scholl says. "This is an important step for our athletics department as we strive to increase our sales and develop relationships with our fans, alumni and community members."
PMI College is the business unit within PMI partnering with Colleges and Universities to maximize ticket sales revenue. PMI is uniquely positioned to help collegiate sports properties maximize ticket sales revenue. PMI is committed to remaining as flexible as possible in order to find creative proactive sales solutions to work within budget constraints or commission and bonus restrictions within the University landscape. PMI College is led by Mark Washo, 20 year professional sports executive and author of the book "Break Into Sports Through Ticket Sales" used by many collegiate sports management programs, and is supported by the full resources within PMI.
Ball State has used PMI College in the past for single game assistance on ticket sales, including the Cardinals 2011 football game vs. Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. The agreement runs through March 2014, and includes Ball State's four ticketed sports -- football, men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball.
"We are excited to continue out outbound ticket sales partnership with Ball State athletics through a new longer term relationship," Washo says. "Ball State has all the building blocks for success including a new A.D., new coaches and a desire to support a sales culture within the athletic department. We look forward to growing new one-to-one fan relationships to capitalize on the anticipated on field success of all the sports programs."
Ball State will open the 2012 football season Thurs., Aug. 30, vs. Eastern Michigan at the Cardinals' Scheumann Stadium.
