Ball State's men's golf team tied for 10th at the 15-team Kepler Intercollegiate at Ohio State's Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.
Kent State won the event with a three round team score of 898, while the Cardinals managed a 308-319-307=934. Ball State tied with Dayton and defeated Ohio (12th) and Eastern Michigan (14th) from the Mid-American Conference.
Brodie Williams led the Cardinals with a 71-80-80=231 and tied for 30th. Tony Lazzara finished 46th after carding an 80-80-75=235. Tyler Merkel tied for 47th with a 77-78-81=236, and Joe Gasser tied for 52nd after tallying an 80-81-76=237. TJ Carpenter tied for 70th with an 86-83-76=245.
Ball State will host its own Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Delaware Country Club. Admission to the event is free of charge, and each day's play will begin at 8 a.m.
