Hough H.S. . . . helped the Huskies to a 9-3 overall record and a 6-1 conference mark as a senior . . . all-state and all-region as a senior . . . all-conference as a junior and second-team honors as a senior . . . team captain as a senior . . . managed 47 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 11 sacks as a senior . . . tallied 27 career sacks to set the school standard . . . set the school record for sacks in a season with 11 as a senior . . . first player from Hough H.S. to be invited to the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas . . . named team captain of his Shrine Bowl team . . . first player from Hough H.S. to ever receive a scholarship from an NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision school . . . also lettered two seasons in baseball for coaches Chet Greeson and Jimmy Cochran.
